Report a Suspected False Quality Claim

Help protect the accuracy of published QUAA review decisions and quality marks.

Why this guidance exists

An altered report, outdated certificate or copied quality mark can mislead students and the public. This page explains how to identify a concern. Secure report intake is not connected; do not send sensitive evidence through this website.

Information to prepare

Provide the questioned record ID or URL if known, the organisation or programme involved, a description of the discrepancy, any appropriate supporting document and a reply contact. Do not upload student records, identity documents or other unnecessary sensitive data.

What an authorised review should consider

The authorised registry team checks the complaint against the internal decision record, reviews relevant history and may request clarification. Outcomes may include correction, removal of an unauthorised mark or escalation under a published policy; a submission alone does not establish wrongdoing.

Privacy and protection

A private complaint is not automatically made public. Staff access is restricted, data is retained under policy and complainants are not required to publish their own details on the public registry.

Verification first

If you only want to check the legitimacy of a certificate, search the QUAA Public Registry. If no matching record exists, use this route for a manual clarification request without assuming a negative finding.
