The four letters express the institution’s name: Q = Quality; U = University; A = Assessment; A = Agency. In Arabic: وكالة الجودة وتقييم الجامعات.

QUAA’s mission is to advance transparent, reliable and useful assessment practices. Its first planned specialist division, QUAA Education, focuses on quality review in higher education and digital learning.
The longer-term ambition is a multi-sector quality platform whose standards are understandable and whose outcomes are verifiable. Building independent decision processes and measurable impact will take actual governance, expert participation and time.
