Publication and Reporting Policy

The principles governing public quality reports, fair representation and corrections.

Our publication principle

Quality evaluation is useful when students, employers, institutions and other interested stakeholders can understand the nature, scope and limitations of a result. QUAA records the outcome of each qualifying external review in a consistent, traceable format.

Before publication

The case owner confirms completion of the applicable review process, independent decision approval, institutional identity, methodology version, scope, any legitimate confidentiality restrictions and the applicant opportunity to correct factual errors in the draft report.

What is published

The normal public record contains the subject name, scope, programme where relevant, review type, standards reference, decision date, current status, validity or expiration, summary of findings and link to the approved public report or summary. Detailed evidence submitted in confidence is not automatically public.

Corrections and appeals

Corrections of factual mistakes are documented and versioned. An appeal addresses a formal decision under published rules; neither process guarantees a positive outcome. A suspended, withdrawn or expired status remains visible and is not relabelled as Active.

Review independence

Publication cannot be purchased, and marketing or founder preference cannot change the independent finding. A public record must not be created for prospects or related parties merely to advertise them as accredited.
