QUAA   QUALITY & UNIVERSITY ASSESSMENT AGENCYEvidence-based review initiative Institutional status
Frequently asked questions

Precise answers.
Clear boundaries.

Understand what QUAA is developing, what a quality review can establish and what it cannot.

Is QUAA an officially recognised European accreditation body?

No. QUAA is a proposed quality review initiative; it does not claim ENQA membership, EQAR registration, governmental designation or other formal European accreditation status.

Does a QUAA review award university degree recognition?

No. A quality review or advisory assessment does not by itself grant degree-awarding powers, statutory programme recognition or official national academic accreditation.

What does European Higher Education Quality Reviews mean?

It describes the planned focus on reviewing higher education quality using a method informed by public European quality assurance guidance. It does not mean QUAA is an EU institution or has European accreditation authority.

Are institutions currently listed in the Public Registry?

No final QUAA institutional review records have been issued or verified. The registry is deliberately empty until legitimate, authorized reviews can be completed and published.

Can QUAA independently accredit IEU?

Not by virtue of owning a separate website. Material overlapping ownership or control must be disclosed, and QUAA must not present related-party work as independent external accreditation.

Can I submit an application today?

The current website allows preparation and download of an enquiry draft. A live intake route and formal evaluation services require legal, governance and technical activation.

Will QUAA work outside education?

The intended long-term architecture allows other institutional assessment specialisms. The first developed scope is QUAA Education; any future service will require sector-appropriate standards and capacity.

Does the ESG automatically authorize reviewers?

No. The ESG is a framework. External agency recognition has separate eligibility, review and decision processes.
